Adding Pops of Color to All White

It's White Wednesday again!  I haven't shown our living room for a while, so here it is today.  After the calming all-white look in winter, I'm starting to add some pops of color.

The pillow and quilted throw have been borrowed from our daughter's room:

So has this heart ornament:

During our children's school vacation last week, we visited our local garden center to get a taste of spring.  These purple hyacinths came home with us, and I potted them for indoor enjoyment:

They liven up this corner desk in the room.  I also added a bag (won from Karen's giveaway) with dried lavender hanging on the chair:

The garden store also had the prettiest begonia with soft pink flowers....

I couldn't part with the roses from Trader Joe's, so here they are hung to dry:

Instead of scattering old books about, I stacked and wrapped them in torn muslin:

Dried sprigs of lavender and hydrangea topped them off:

Hope you are enjoying adding pops of spring color to your home, too!

Doesn't a pop of color just make you smile.
I know it does for me. I had to add a lot of color to my home, the whites were starting to get to me.
I am searching today for some small succulents to add to the home for some green

Absolutely beautiful Susan!!~
I love the pops of red throughout your home. That's what I'm in the process of doing adding a spot of red here and there.
Your home is looking simply stunning!!~
Have a wonderful week.

This is such a pretty room. I love a cozy sofa, and it's so pretty with the patch of color. That's a darling ruffly bag that you are displaying your lavender in. I enjoyed looking over your pretty room!

So very beautiful! I love old creamy whites... I so wish I could decorate that way, but I have a house full of mostly boys (some of them young men)... and white doesn't bode well these days! lol

Such a pretty and soothing room. The hyacinths are so pretty. We are having an early Spring here in southern Ontario, Canada, and my garden hyacinths are blooming, although much smaller than yours. You have some lovely religious statues and I the Rosary looks pretty there.
