Folks, it's high time I put down that shovel and start blogging again. Our record snowfall this winter has finally started to melt, and I see the light at the end of the tunnel - spring!
This is the time of year many of you see cherry and dogwood trees begin to blossom. It's not happening here yet (no surprise), but that won't stop me from enjoying the look of them.
I found this great tutorial on Pinterest on how to make paper flowers for branches.
You can find it here. Of course I had plenty of fallen branches strewn across our yard after so many blizzards this winter. I used a 2-inch paper punch, white and pink tissue paper, and some hot glue.
Here's the result:
I love how they turned out and would have made more flowers, if it weren't for a bit of struggle with my pink tissue paper getting stuck in my paper punch. :)
I did manage to pick up some real flowers at the grocery store this winter to cheer our dining room buffet as well:
And these faux roses were a steal at the thrift store - I think they look realistic, do you?
Spring is in the air...I just know it!
