Hello friends,
I've been meaning to share with you a book I got before Christmas. It's the most recent craft book by Tone Finnanger called: 'Homemade and Happy'.
The images for the book were photographed in Ms. Finnanger's cozy log cabin with her younger sister as the model. I love the homey feel of it throughout. The latest fabrics are pale and pretty, yet rustic.
Aren't these pillows scrumptious?
And these miniature hearts look absolutely adorable stacked on the cake rings.
The Tilda books never cease to inspire. The pretty angel dolls lined up all in a row have the sweetest dresses:
I tackled the job of making three of these for 3 precious newborn nieces we welcomed into our large family last year. Here are my angels before they 'flew' to their new homes at Christmas:
What are you making these days? The creative bugs always thrives in January, I think. :)

I have been wanting to order this book so bad Susan, but just haven't been able to decide whether I need another book or not. I have been making her little hearts already this winter when I saw them on a website, but I just love the piggies too.
sending hugs...

Your dolls are so darn cute, Susan! What a wonderful gift to the newborns. Sounds like they add alot of excitement to your family! The ring "cake" looks so good. My nephew and his Norwegian wife had one at their wedding, it is very traditional there for special occasions:)
Hi Susan,
Oh this book looks to be one of inspiration and beauty to design by. I use to create much like this fashion when primitive folkart was all the big craze. And I too would make all kinds of cloth, rag, and wood dolls, it makes me want to try my hands at it again, but I wont, I will leave this art up to the pros like you who create them ever so sweetly. Love your angel dolls and those nieces of yours will have a treasured piece to cherish many years to come making them collectables.
Susan, your little magical world delights everyone who visits, and to be able to wonder about your home taking in all you do and create would be amazingly inspiring.
Thank you for visiting me and sharing with me your beautiful thoughts.

I now have 4 Tilda books and each one I purchase becomes my new favorite. I would tell everyone not to hesitate to purchase Homemade & Happy - it's just sooo pretty - it's magical. I wondered who the model was in the book. Thanks for sharing.
