It's been a while since I've shown our kitchen (see this post for its' French Farmhouse transformation). Thought I'd share some vintage finds that have found their way in here for summer. I'll be linking to Vintage Inspiration Friday and Feathered Nest Friday this week.
I removed the toile tablecloth to showcase the simple summery vintage white cloth...bowl of peaches ripening on top:
The shelves hold recent ironstone finds, as well as some rustic cans:
The old clock ticks comfortably, while fresh hydrangeas and wildflowers from our garden cheer us at morning breakfast:
This next rusty piece was a find at the flea market. The vendor sold it for $2, while we both wondered at its' original purpose. I'm hanging it with a faux nest to appear like a birdcage. I'm sure a candle inside would look nice, too.
Your kitchen looks lovely with it's summer look. I love your vintage table and chairs. I am visiting from Common Ground. Have a great day! Pamela
Your kitchen is so pretty! Very summery and charming.
Be a sweetie,
What a warm and cheerful kitchen. Looks like a great place to hang out. Thanks so much for the compliment you left on my blog.
What a pretty kitchen area! I love the way the light dances on your pretties!!
i love the "summer" lighting in your French inspired kitchen. The blue hues magnified by the Hydrangea are exquisite. Such a welcoming room I'm sure your family and guests always feel comfortably at home.
I love your kitchen Susan!!
That bird cage is so sweet and i love how you put the nest with eggs inside...perfect!!
This is absolutely gorgeous! Your pictures are so soft and sweet. Love however you did that. The faux birdcage made my heart skip a beat. I've had a bit of a bird fettish for the past 3 years. The name of your blog is such a wonderful tribute to your grandmothers. Yes, I'd definately say you inherited their talent. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. I am your newest follower.
Your kitchen looks like a sweet little French sidewalk bistro cafe, Susan! The panelled walls really make it look so cozy. LUV it! And I adore the way you placed that darling nest in that chippy vintage.....thingy. lol!
Such a lovely summer kitchen.
