Tale of Two White Chairs

Good day friends!  How did you spend your weekends?  Although I enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day, I spent the good part of Saturday painting our master bedroom.  It was long overdue.  My husband and I agreed on the color 'Sea Pearl' by Benjamin Moore.  It's a light white/grayish color and I LOVE it!!!  Worth all those hours of toil.  So now the fun part begins...re-decorating the room to suit this new serene ambiance.  There will be more posts as the room comes along.  I may need your invaluable advice, right?

I started by painting this $15 thrift store chair the same color as the room:

I also tore off the yucky upholstery and plan to re-cover it myself.  Wish me luck...
Some recent thrift store finds surround the chair.  A lovely lace veil, monogrammed linen towel, and a frame I also painted in a similar hue:

The large white chair that was originally in this bedroom corner got moved to the living room, where it will serve a better function than holding laundry.
Here it is in its' new location with a great pillow I scored today at HomeGoods:

This week starts the Brimfield Flea Market and I am disappointed I won't be able to make this one.  But there's always the July and September shows this year.
I hope you local ladies that are attending have a great time.  Take lots of photos and happy hunting!
Linking to White Wednesday and Show and Tell Friday this week.

OOO that sounds very similar to the paint we just did last week in our bedroom too!
Looks like you scored some great thrift store items there.
I am still searching for the perfect chair, actually found it on Sunday but it needed to be reupholstered and I have no time to take on that kind of project so I will wait....

Good for you! We still haven't picked a color for the master. I bet it feels good to have it done. Your new chair looks great! I think the new location on the other will be more useful. Love the HomeGoods pillow. The upholstered chair in our bedroom only sees clean clothes and pillows. Think we need to rethink that space.
Hope you have a great week! :) ~Michelle

I love the sound of the new paint color! It sounds lovely and serene for a bedroom. Love your chair, too. I had to laugh about the chair that holds laundry. For me, it is a quilt rack that hubby loves to fling his shirts and ties over after work. Grrrr...

Jane

I know painting is alot of work, but it is so worth it! Your bedroom is going to be gorgeous:) I am in love with your slip covered chair in the living room, and that pillow is a lucky find! I need to find out if there are any Home Goods around her. I love that store!
