My white horse will stay around, and now he is keeping warm with a blue crochet remnant and white yarn pom-poms I made:
I was inspired by many of the pom-pom wreaths I saw on blogs this Christmas.
It's nice to look around and see elements made from yarn,
as well as this old French lace from the flea market. It's too pretty to hide away:
Speaking of pretty...I was so excited to receive this Nicol Sayre figure from my thoughtful in-laws for Christmas. I recognized her as a Nicol Sayre design as soon as I opened the box! Isn't she lovely?
(Thank you Mom & Dad!)
I hope you are all cozying up this January, and dreaming up ideas and plans for 2013.
I'm looking forward to sharing more with you this year!

Oh! It all looks so heavenly. Your decorating is just perfect for this still and peaceful time of year. Love all the whites and hints of blue. And I spy a Nicol Sayre!! I got one of her santas for Christmas! I just love her dolls! Happy Epiphany to you :D the kids at our church did a pageant this morning, lol, I am the proud mother of an adorable little 'villager' hehehe!
You are so right!! January should be a time to cozy up. reflect, and be creative. Unfortunately, I am guilty of not taking the time to focus and get caught up in all the wrong things. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to refocus. Looking forward to seeing your creative projects.
All your winter whites does make your home cozy. Your home is beautiful. You have such an eye on setting up vignettes. I love your white horse and the window. The angel wings on the wall are just so precious.
as much as i love "decking the halls" each year..i always look forward to "Petit Noel" and then packing it all away to welcome in a fresh...new...year. Your home looks serenely beautiful even when "unadorned." .I just picked up the Winter issue of JDL today as a matter of fact and am drooling over it as we speak. ;) i am looking forward to another year of "picker sister adventures" mon amie! :)
Your house is very charming--I love seeing it :)
We have a historic house too so I'm pretty familiar with re-arranging furniture to free up the heat vents (and the outlets in the most inconvenient places).
Blessings... Polly

Susan,
I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year!
I love the Jeanne D'Arc magazines. They have become one of my favorite.
I love vintage laces and textiles. I buy them whenever I'm lucky enough to find them.
Everything looks so pretty!
Will visit again soon!

Elizabeth
