Peonies and Inspiration Vintage Magazine!

Our peony bushes finally blossomed last week, albeit with fewer buds this year.  Nevertheless, I made the most of this time to photograph and cut the beautiful blooms we were blessed with.

Keeping good company with the foxgloves....

On a nearby fence our New Dawn rose climber is growing gangbusters.  I photographed this first bloom last week:

The cut peonies offer such a lovely fragrance to my corner desk in the living room:

I was so happy to receive the Inspiration Vintage Magazine yesterday in the mail!  Have you seen it?  Talented Melinda, from Alabaster Rose Lifestyle, has put together a sumptuous magazine full of gorgeous photos and inspiration.  Many talented bloggers have contributed to create a feast for the eyes.  I love it!

Melinda includes a gorgeous article on playing with peonies, so I couldn't resist showing you a peek next to my vase of peonies.

Be sure to visit Melinda and take a look for yourself.  The magazine is available in both digital and printed formats.

I'd love to have some beautiful peonies like yours! And that pink rose will also be on my list for my next garden bed. Still cleaning up in my garden as we had such an odd spring...and now it's almost summer!♥♫

Hi Susan! I love peonies and mine are just now starting to bloom. I can't wait to have little photo shoots of them :) I decided to sell some of my blooms this year because I have hundreds of blooms and I hate to see them go to waste. A local florist buys them and while I love to dry them to make wreaths, it makes sense to sell some.
I loved your beautiful kitchen all freshly painted. It looks so pretty and I love how you have decorated it too.
sending hugs...

Your peonies are just gorgeous, Susan! Mine finally bloomed too, though I missed them in their full glory when we were away last week. I just love the cottage feel of your garden with the pretty foxgloves and roses! I've not heard of that magazine, I'll be sure to check it out, as it sounds like it's right up my rue:)
