Out with the New, In with the Old

Yes, you read that correctly.  I'm starting 2012 with a fresh perspective on design.  Although there is always a place for new treasures that will eventually become heirlooms, I'm going to seek out more of the old.  Vintage finds are unique, time-worn, loved and carry a history with them that is irreplaceable.

Time flies...

...and lands softly in our memories:

Each vintage find is layered with stories to tell...

...yet we can create a new story for it in our world:

(love this vintage wallpaper!)

I'm looking forward to following new (old) paths in creativity and sharing it all with you in 2012.
Happy White Wednesday my friends!  Don't forget I'm having a 25% off sale in my Etsy shop!

I love the title of your post! It's so true though, some things become more beautiful with age. I'm totally obsessed with vintage books right now...forget Kindle's and Nooks!

I totally agree, Susan! Nothing like vintage treasures to bring beauty and joy to our daily lives! I am drooling over your glittered trophies, did you create them yourself? Nothing like the new year to ring in a fresh new (old!) start!

Such a pretty post! Will be fun to see what vintage you bring to mix into your home! I love those dishes! I have a mixture of dinner plates we use for an over flow when we need extra when entertaining...funny that its easier to use my vintage finds than my china I received as wedding presents! Ha
Hope you are having a fabulous start to the new years...xoxo, tracie
