Christmas Dining Room 2015

Continuing the Christmas home tour with our dining room...

I kept the table-top simple, since we use it everyday for homeschool:

The kids appreciate this fun centerpiece of miniature reindeer in little 'snow globes' I made from our glassware.

These vintage napkins are ready for any occasion.

In the corner is our cupboard, decked out with a faux garland and nativity scene.

I like mixing vintage ironstone with sparkly elements here, and thought this handmade crochet garland would look sweet up top:

This is the first Christmas with our vintage shoe rack.  I just added a pom-pom garland, greenery and some bottle-brush trees to make it festive.

I also added this sign I made from salvage wood & touched up with chalkboard paint:

Our homeschool storage dresser got decorated as well, and holds our Advent candle wreath on top:

A while back I fell in love with this chalkboard sign from 320Sycamore.  I decided to replicate it on our chalkboard.  A favorite verse for Christmas time:

Nearby I simply rested a wreath on our grain sack chair.  It is a faux wreath that I embellished with real greenery.  Easy!

Another easy touch was to add juniper sprigs, sparkly reindeer ornaments and vintage escutcheons to my pair of shutters leaning against the wall.

Lastly, greenery and pine cones were added to this corner.

Thanks for taking the tour here.  I always appreciate your visits.
Merry Christmas!

First of all, I'm not even going to ask how you keep your home so immaculately clean while home schooling AND finding time to blog!!! Your dining room looks amazing, I love the little reindeer inside the glasses! I pinned it to my Christmas board for next year:) I love your little house under the cloche too, such a sweet look!

Only one more week and we'll be celebrating the big day! Even though my kids are all big, hairy men now, I still get butterflies in my tummy over Christmas:) Have a wonderful weekend my friend and thank you for always being so kind.

P.S. Drooling over your shoe rack!

I just love all of your Christmasy touches you've added to your dining room, Susan! From the glittery deer to the sweet little church under the cloche. And your deer centerpiece, too! Thought of you, we've been in Quebec City this week, it's just magical at Christmas! At the airport now waiting for our flight home. Joyeux Noel!

It's beautiful, Susan! I love how you interpret each season through your soothing color scheme. The reindeer in the glasses are beautiful and love the little touches of greenery (and that wreath ribbon!) We are in that time in life where all little breakable bits and bobs are not at hand level....so nice to see what we can do in a few years! :D

So very beautiful Mon amie! Love the soft palette...white ironstone....silverplate...greenery...pale blues....so lovely. Of course we chose the same quote to highlight the season....kindred spirits are we. ;)

Just so lovely. There is something about a white linen tablecloth on a farmhouse table. It feels more magical to me. A peaceful Noël to you xx Kerrie i hope you will come by and visit my Sea Cottage blog.
