Merry Christmas

It's been difficult to return to blogging in light of the tragedy in CT.  These days have been spent hugging our children just a little tighter, and praying much.  But I did want to wish you all a blessed and Merry Christmas.  We must mourn deeply for these families, and yet we must also believe in the Hope that Christmas is truly about.  Evil will never have the last word.

I know this blog is mainly about light-weight decorating & crafting - fluff, if you will.  But beyond the fluff of blogs is a desire to make a comfortable and loving home for our families & friends.  Christmas is a special time to brighten up our homes even more - illuminating the authentic spirit of Christmas.
I'm joining Kathleen's Faded Charm Christmas home tour party, in part to keep that spirit alive.

Merry Christmas to you all and blessings for 2013!  Thank you for being wonderful blogging friends.

What a beautiful post, Susan. My heart is heavy too for all that has happened in CT. I think about the children and families touched by this terrible event, and continue to pray for them. I think much of this country is broken hearted too. But as you say, evil will not prevail, we've got to keep believing in the goodness of others, and in miracles, too. Merry Christmas to you and your family, sweet friend!

our hearts are all still heavy with the loss of so many innocents.... but how true it is that we must keep the "spirit" of the season alive in us all so that those sweet angels didn't die in vain....blessings mon amie...

I was so happy to see you came by Susan! I loved this post! Yes, our blogs are so much more than just the decorating. Like you said...it is all about creating a space for our souls to flourish and our family to feel loved.

I love that you love Tilda too. I am so hooked on the fabrics and the sweet Tilda creations.

I want to wish you a blessed and happy New Year!
