Christmas House Tour - Living Room

The halls are decked!  Sometimes I think our living room really is a hall, with it's long bowling alley effect.  I did my best to ensure our antique daybed could stay in here with that challenge in mind.  Here is the result...

I put the daybed at an angle, with a table cornered behind:

The tree...

I wanted a new tree skirt, so made this one from white muslin

(see this horse's transformation here)

The fireplace...

I was inspired to make this crocheted garland after seeing Madolyn Oliver (Jeanne Oliver's sweet daughter) make one in the Creatively Made Home e-course

Vintage ornaments...

A wealth of inspiration came from this book...

And last, a view from our shelf in the front of the room.  I'll share that part of the room in another post...

Sharing with these festive parties:

I love the light, ethereal feel throughout. I shouldn't admit this but my home is still half done with some fall decor still in certain places:)

Have a great weekend!
