Getting there...

It's starting - the Christmas decorating!  After spending a wonderful Thanksgiving here with family, along with a festive weekend of parade and tree-lighting hoopla downtown, I'm ready to get into the Christmas spirit.
The boxes have come out and the transformation is starting...

A Christmas village atop this shelf in the living room...

Sweet angel on a vintage window...

Jeanne D'Arc Living-inspired Santa ornaments:
(these are for sale in my Etsy shop)

Victorian Santas seem to be a focus this year...

Soft colors...

A little sparkle mixed with aged appeal...

I'm trying really hard to keep our antique daybed in the living room, whilst still being able to fit a tree in there.  Here are some peeks of the daybed area:

(sacred heart milagro from ShabbyFufu)

I've just given you peeks of the decor, since aforementioned boxes are still afoot.  The house always looks in disarray before it is 'done', right?

It's all just gorgeous, Susan! I love your village and those cute bottle brush trees! I'm having a hard time being motivated to finish my decorating this year for some reason. But after seeing your lovely post, you've inspired me to get back to business:) Oh, and I adore your glittered trophy! I foolishly passed one up when we lived in Washington, I was still thinking about it the other day!

Oh man, my house was a complete disaster area when I decorated. It's just so fun to dig through them all and find your favorite stuff.

Your decorations look amazing. I really like your light and bright santa theme in this room. But most of all I'm in love with your Glitter House Village. I. Love. Glitter. Houses.

I enjoyed 'peeking' in on the beautiful decorating you have been doing Susan! I love the softness of the look and adore the victorian images you are using this year.
You have such beautiful taste!

I smiled about the boxes all around...mine won't be going anywhere soon because I take forever to decide for sure what I am going to put out. My husband is soon going to be asking how long we will be living with the mess : )I've been expecting it every day but thankfully he is a patient guy!
