Thank Heavens It's March

The snow on the ground can't melt fast enough for me these days, and I can see from many other blogs that we are all ready for SPRING!
A recent trip to Michael's craft store was just what the doctor ordered.  I replaced the bare tree branches on this table with a new lovely birdcage from Michael's and some faux cherry blossoms from the dollar store.

I'm usually not a fan of faux flowers, but I loved the pale pink color on these and really needed a burst of spring before the real blossoms can be found.

The cute grey birdcage had weathered appeal, even though it's new from Michael's.  I also found these sweet crown bags and some trim (wrapped in what else but a paper birdcage!).  The grey pom-pom trim is what sold me.

The dining room is looking more cheerful, especially with these pretty white tulips from my husband:

I'm also showing my hankering for red embroidery lately...

Last but not least, I updated this little drawer-turned-sideways with some charming tresors:

How are you bringing touches of spring into your home?

Your first photo vignette is so lovely...so gentle. I saw flowers like those at world market and almost bought them.

All your treasures are so pretty.

Everything looks lovely - the hearts, the cherry blossoms, the birdcage, the flowers . . .

I just added a birdcage as a centerpiece on the dining room table. I have no fresh flowers right now for a bouquet and I like the look of the rusty birdcage.

White flowers have always been a favorite of mine, so I really love your pretty tulips! How sweet of your husband:) Great idea to turn the drawer into a display shelf, it's so cute! Michael's really has some fun new things in their dollar bins, don't they?

Hi Susan,
I love all your spring touches. It is still so so cold here in Chicago and no signs of Spring. I did the same thing today by making some Spring vignettes inside since outside is not looking so much like Spring yet. Will post tomorrow. Have a great week.

Very pretty vignettes, Susan! Our temps are supposed to slowly go up this week {with 46 by Sunday} and I'm hoping they stay up.

All so very pretty, Susan!

This winter has seemed especially long.
So many of us are looking for ways to bring spring indoors before it arrives outdoors. Love all your springy touches. :)

Lin

Oooh, I love it all! Now I need to get myself to Michaels! Im wishing for spring too--- we're on our second day of 'out of school snow day' here. The sun's shining and the snow is melting though!
I planted two pots of lavender and pansies the other day, and one is on my mantle and one on my dining room table! My plan is to have them live there for the next few months, here's hoping! but seeing living green things sure help my heart!~

Susan,
Great new treasure finds, dear one!!!
I'm adding PoPs of green here and there throughout my home decor to bring a "force of Spring"!
Your faux "branches" and weathered grey birdcage are elegantly styled!
I've been looking for creamy ivory~not white~not yellow faux tulips!!!
Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos of your lovely home with us!
Visiting from Grey Dey Thursdey!
Fondly,
Pat

You always have such gorgeous vignettes Susan. I'll let you in on a secret... I have a big vase full of greenery and white stocks in the resort office. Guests comment all the time on how lovely they look and how much they like seeing fresh flowers in reception. The truth is, the greenery is all from the garden outside, but the 6 stems of white stock are actually silk flowers. No one has ever picked it.
