Angels watching over...
This small tree on the buffet was from a project I wrote about here.
These Fleur-de-Lys vintage ornaments are favorites. There are many Fleur-de-Lys images throughout our home. That's for another post someday...
Here are some petite ornaments with blue satin wrapped in mother-of-pearl buckles, nestled within a tarnished thrift store bowl. I love the color & patinas together.
Next is a display heralding the good news. I got this idea from a store display shown by Tracey of French Larkspur here.
I put the chalkboard over an old cabinet. The two vintage angel stocking holders are ready to ring the bell nearby. Joyful news!
Our children are always ringing the jingle bell wreath below to join in the heraldry. :)
The table is centered with more blue and silver shine. Mixing in burlap, a wicker tray, pinecones and sticks added a rustic touch. The 4 silver bowls were just a few dollars at a thrift store and I'm always putting something in them for display.
Lastly, the built-in hutch (my favorite original feature in our house) is decked out with garland.
I got this look from last year's December Country Living magazine issue. Here's the photo from that article:

Not quite the same, but it was fun to attempt to replicate!
Enjoy your week!
