Once these two bloomed, I made the best of showcasing them in various rooms. Here they are mixing in with the dried lavender in the living room:
And on the side table in the dining room:
They looked so pretty sitting on the kitchen table, too:
These beauties have since passed on, but the good thing about having a blog is we get to revisit our faded flowers.
I also finally finished a miniature crochet banner I was working on. It hangs against our living room radiator. I love the texture.
Hope everyone's July is going great so far!

So pretty Susan. Love peonies. Happy 4th.

I think Peonies should be named flower of the year this year! Yours are lovely and I love your bucket of dried Lavender:) I love Lavender and really need to get myself some new bunches as most of it was so old I had to toss it.
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend Susan:)
Your peonies are beautiful in each spot they were showcased! It's always a disappointment with favorite flowers don't bloom as much as they should, but I'm glad you brought your two blooms inside to enjoy. The crocheted banner is so adorable!!

Peonies are such a beautiful, generous flower. I love them and you have captured these so beautifully. The crocheted banner also is lovely.
Your peonies are just gorgeous, Susan! They don't even look real:) I just got a handful of blooms from mine, but I enjoyed them while they lasted. Love your sweet crocheted heart banner! Happy 4th!
With blooms like that I would want to show them off to! Love them with the lavender. Jo
they are ever so lovely if only the 2 of them. my peony bush has yet to bloom. sigh. but i keep hoping. that crochet banner is adorbs! happy 4th to you and your beautiful family mon amie. ;)
Such sweet and gorgeous photos. I love peonies too and I am fortune to enjoy many blooms each year. Too bad they are so short lived. But you are right in saying that blogging allows us to enjoy them a little longer. I still look at my peony photos whenever I can.
Hope you enjoyed the 4th.
Janet
Your flowers are gorgeous. I have often wished peonies would bloom for a longer period of time. LOL.
I love reading blogs and getting inspired by pictures.
We are expecting coming this week - our son's wedding is Saturday!
I am freshening up the house and your bucket of lavender convinces me that after I finish my planting and weeding today that a bucket of lavender is just what is needed to sit on the ladder next to the bed in the guest room.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Your blog is just dripping with eye candy and your photos are stunning! I would like to invite you to share your work on my linky party. It starts Thursdays at 6:00 pm (MST). It is a Furniture only party and I would be honored to have you join! I hope to see you there!
Smiles!
