Christmas House Tour - Dining Room

Hello merry-making friends!  Are you enjoying the season?  I have been having such fun putting some holly-jolly touches all around and thought I'd share our dining room with you.  Here is our table centerpiece of candlesticks with handmade NOEL ornaments.  I hung a simple balsam wreath with white linen ribbon on our built-in cupboard in the background...

The white cupboard in the front corner has touches of blue, gray, glitter and greenery:

This lovely vintage-paper cross was handmade by the talented Beth, an owner of the Nesting store I visited recently.  I love it!  The beaded garland is from Curious Sofa:

This wreath and sprig also came from the Nesting trip:

One of our living room chairs ended up in here, so I simply put gift boxes on top.  The fabric corsage is from Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture:

My favorite petite white table...

On top is a Tilda's World tree, with Mini Angels I made from a pattern in the "Tilda's Winter Ideas" book.  I'll share more about these angels later this week:

I also placed some miniature swan gift boxes I made under this tree: 

Another corner of the room holds a small green tree keeping company with my favorite feminine chair:

I found these paper mache stars in the Stampington website shop and glittered them:

These cones on the  mirror were made last year.  This one where I added an image of a Nicol Sayre doll I had admired is my favorite:

Lastly, the 'winter wonderland' side buffet:

This is the tree and gifts that were featured in the Autumn issue of Somerset Life.  I was so happy to have them returned for my decorating!

Christmas House Tour - Living Room

The halls are decked!  Sometimes I think our living room really is a hall, with it's long bowling alley effect.  I did my best to ensure our antique daybed could stay in here with that challenge in mind.  Here is the result...

I put the daybed at an angle, with a table cornered behind:

I wanted a new tree skirt, so made this one from white muslin

I was inspired to make this crocheted garland after seeing Madolyn Oliver (Jeanne Oliver's sweet daughter) make one in the Creatively Made Home e-course.

Nesting

On Sunday I had the great pleasure of once again attending the holiday open house event at 'Nesting on Main' in Concord, MA with dear Michelle of PetiteMichelleLouise.  Michelle and I attended last year's event where my jaw hit the floor and I grabbed her arm while entering the store for the first time.
This year's trip was another feast for the eyes!  Since the store is aptly named 'Nesting', there were many Christmas trees to behold:

 

There were so many delights to take in...

This adorable birch wood scene was made by Beth, one of the owners.

Gorgeous chippy old sleigh - oh what fun to ride in this!

The owners Wendy, Beth and Melissa did such an amazing job this year!

Michelle and I couldn't stop smiling...

This little corner had touches of red...

...and a stash full of Shiny Brites!!!

I couldn't resist bringing a bag of those home to my desk...

...and Michelle included the latest enticing issue of Jeanne D'Arc Living in her purchases...

I'm sure she will post soon about the rest of her loot.  My halls are almost fully 'decked', so I will share more of what came home with me as well.
